Automod Supplemental Terms

Last updated: September 01, 2025

These AutoMod Supplemental Terms (“Supplemental Terms”) govern your access to and use of the automated moderation features (“AutoMod”) provided through the Koda Discord bot operated by EdgeFox & Co (d/b/a Koda) (“Koda,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Supplemental Terms are incorporated by reference into, and form part of, the Koda Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Discord Supplemental Terms. By enabling or using AutoMod, you expressly acknowledge and agree to these Supplemental Terms in addition to all other applicable agreements.

I. NATURE OF AUTOMOD

1.1 Service Description. AutoMod provides automated moderation tools that analyze user messages, attachments, and metadata to detect potential spam, abuse, prohibited links, offensive language, or other rule violations. AutoMod may automatically delete, flag, or restrict messages based on server settings or system safeguards.

1.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy. AutoMod uses rule-based and heuristic detection methods. We make no warranty that AutoMod will detect all prohibited content or that all flagged content will be accurately categorized. False positives and false negatives may occur.

1.3 Supplemental Role. AutoMod is intended as a supplemental moderation tool and is not a substitute for human review. Server administrators remain ultimately responsible for moderation and enforcement within their communities.

II. DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

2.1 Message Data. AutoMod may process the content of messages, including text, links, emojis, and formatting, for the purpose of applying moderation rules and filters.

2.2 Attachments. AutoMod may analyze attachments such as images, files, or documents to detect potentially harmful or restricted content. Attachments may be temporarily stored or proxied through our infrastructure for scanning and enforcement.

2.3 Metadata. AutoMod may collect metadata such as timestamps, user identifiers, and channel identifiers for enforcement, logging, and abuse-prevention purposes.

2.4 Retention. AutoMod-related data, including logs of flagged or deleted messages, may be retained for a limited time for security, auditing, or troubleshooting purposes. Such retention is subject to our Privacy Policy and data retention schedules.

III. USER RESPONSIBILITIES

3.1 Lawful Conduct. You agree not to attempt to evade or disable AutoMod, and not to use AutoMod in ways that violate applicable laws, Discord’s rules, or these Supplemental Terms.

3.2 Server Rules. Users remain responsible for adhering to server-specific rules. AutoMod enforcement does not exempt users from manual moderation or disciplinary actions imposed by server administrators.

3.3 Content Ownership. You represent and warrant that you have lawful rights to the content you submit and that such content does not infringe upon third-party rights or violate applicable law.

IV. SERVER ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 Configuration. Server administrators are responsible for configuring AutoMod settings, including filters, thresholds, and enforcement actions. Misconfigured settings may result in over- or under-enforcement.

4.2 Oversight. Administrators must monitor AutoMod’s enforcement and address false positives or failures where necessary. AutoMod does not replace the need for human judgment in moderation.

4.3 Removal of Access. Administrators may disable AutoMod at any time. Disabling AutoMod does not retroactively undo its prior enforcement actions.

V. DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS

5.1 No Warranty. AUTOMOD IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

5.2 No Guarantee of Enforcement. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AUTOMOD WILL DETECT OR PREVENT ALL PROHIBITED CONTENT, NOR THAT ALL DETECTIONS WILL BE CORRECT. FALSE POSITIVES AND FALSE NEGATIVES MAY OCCUR, AND WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR CONTENT THAT ESCAPES DETECTION OR IS ERRONEOUSLY FLAGGED.

5.3 Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR PERFORMANCE OF AUTOMOD, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, UNAUTHORIZED CONTENT EXPOSURE, OR FAILURE TO DETECT PROHIBITED MATERIAL.

VI. TERMINATION OF ACCESS

6.1 By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to AutoMod, or a server’s access, at our sole discretion for violations of these Supplemental Terms, Discord’s policies, or applicable law.

6.2 By You. Server administrators may disable AutoMod at any time through configuration settings.

6.3 Survival. Any provisions relating to disclaimers, limitations of liability, and data handling shall survive termination of AutoMod access.

VII. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

7.1 Governing Law. These Supplemental Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles.

7.2 Jurisdiction. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Supplemental Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.
