Economy Supplemental Terms

 

 

These Economy Supplemental Terms (“Supplemental Terms”) govern your access to and use of the virtual economy features (“Economy”) provided through the Koda Discord bot operated by EdgeFox & Co (d/b/a Koda) (“Koda,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

 

These Supplemental Terms are incorporated by reference into, and form part of, the Koda Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Discord Supplemental Terms. By participating in the Economy, you expressly acknowledge and agree to these Supplemental Terms in addition to all other applicable agreements.

 

1.1 Service Description. The Economy consists of virtual coins, credits, items, consumables, and other digital features designed for entertainment and engagement within Discord. The Economy may include mini-games, shops, lootboxes, and similar systems.

 

1.2 No Real-World Value. Virtual currency, items, and rewards earned or purchased through the Economy have no real-world monetary value. They may not be exchanged for cash, property, or services outside of the Koda platform. All such assets are digital features licensed to you for entertainment purposes only.

 

1.3 Ownership. You do not own virtual currency or items in the Economy. All rights remain with us. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use such features within Koda, subject to these Supplemental Terms.

 

2.1 Earning Currency. Virtual currency may be earned through commands, participation in activities, or events within Koda. We reserve the right to alter earning rates at any time.

 

2.2 Premium Currency. Certain types of currency (“Premium Currency”) may be provided in connection with Discord’s Premium Apps or other authorized means. Premium Currency is subject to the same limitations as standard virtual currency and cannot be exchanged for real-world value.

 

2.3 Comped Currency. From time to time, we may issue complimentary or comped Premium Currency. Such issuance is entirely at our discretion, may be revoked at any time, and creates no entitlement or guarantee of future access.

 

2.4 Transfers. Virtual currency may be transferable between users only through supported features (such as “pay” commands). Unauthorized transfers, trading, or selling of accounts or currency is strictly prohibited.

 

3.1 Item Acquisition. Items may be acquired through shops, commands, lootboxes, or events. Items may be consumable (one-time use) or permanent (persistent buffs or cosmetics).

 

3.2 Refunds. Except where explicitly stated, all transactions are final. We are under no obligation to provide refunds for spent currency, items, or lootboxes. Refunds may be issued at our discretion for technical errors or fairness adjustments.

 

3.3 Loss of Items. We disclaim responsibility for lost or deleted items resulting from technical issues, misuse, or account loss. We may restore items at our discretion but are under no obligation to do so.

 

4.1 Lootbox Mechanics. Certain Economy features may include randomized rewards (“Lootboxes”). Opening a Lootbox consumes currency or items and generates rewards based on chance.

 

4.2 Disclosure of Odds. Lootboxes may contain a range of rewards, from common to rare items. Unless otherwise specified, the chance of receiving the highest-tier or “grand prize” item shall not exceed five percent (5%). Odds may vary by Lootbox type and will be disclosed where appropriate.

 

4.3 No Guarantee. The opening of a Lootbox does not guarantee any particular reward. By participating, you acknowledge the random nature of rewards and accept the risk of receiving duplicate, unwanted, or low-value items.

 

4.4 Regulatory Compliance. Lootboxes are provided for entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute gambling or wagering under applicable law. If local law restricts chance-based features, you agree not to use Lootboxes in violation of such laws.

 

5.1 Access. Premium Economy features may require an active premium subscription through Discord’s Premium Apps. Premium features may include higher earning rates, exclusive items, or additional Lootbox types.

 

5.2 Comped Premium. From time to time, we may grant complimentary or promotional Premium access. Comped Premium is provided at our discretion, may be revoked at any time, and creates no right or entitlement to continued use.

 

5.3 Termination of Premium. If your premium subscription lapses or is revoked, you may lose access to premium-only features. We are not responsible for loss of items or currency associated with expired premium status.

 

6.1 No Warranty. THE ECONOMY IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

 

6.2 Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE ECONOMY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF VIRTUAL CURRENCY, LOSS OF ITEMS, OR FAILURE TO RECEIVE PARTICULAR REWARDS.

 

6.3 Balance Adjustments. We reserve the right to adjust, rebalance, or remove items, currency values, and rewards at any time to preserve fairness, stability, or entertainment value. We disclaim liability for any perceived losses resulting from such adjustments.

 

7.1 By Us. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Economy, or to confiscate virtual currency or items, for violations of these Supplemental Terms, our Terms of Service, Discord’s policies, or applicable law.

 

7.2 By You. You may discontinue participation in the Economy at any time. Discontinuation does not entitle you to a refund or conversion of virtual currency or items.

 

7.3 Survival. Any provisions relating to disclaimers, limitations of liability, and data handling shall survive termination of access to the Economy.

 

8.1 Governing Law. These Supplemental Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles.

 

8.2 Jurisdiction. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Supplemental Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.
