Global Chat Supplemental Terms

 

 

These Global Chat Supplemental Terms (“Supplemental Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Global Chat feature (“Global Chat”) provided through the Koda Discord bot operated by EdgeFox & Co (d/b/a Koda) (“Koda,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

 

These Supplemental Terms are incorporated by reference into, and form part of, the Koda Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Discord Supplemental Terms. By enabling or participating in Global Chat, you expressly acknowledge and agree to these Supplemental Terms in addition to all other applicable agreements.

 

 

1.1 Service Description. Global Chat allows messages sent in one Discord server to be relayed and displayed in other Discord servers that have opted into the feature. Messages may be reformatted, processed, or logged to facilitate cross-server communication.

 

1.2 No Guarantee of Message Integrity. Messages relayed via Global Chat may not appear identically across servers due to formatting rules, server configurations, or technical limitations. We make no warranty that messages will be transmitted without error, delay, or alteration.

 

1.3 Public and Shared Nature. By using Global Chat, you understand and acknowledge that your messages may be visible to users in multiple servers beyond your original server. Messages sent into Global Chat should be treated as public communications.

 

2.1 Message Data. Koda may collect and temporarily or permanently store message content transmitted through Global Chat for the purposes of relaying, moderation, abuse prevention, logging, and troubleshooting.

 

2.2 User Data. Global Chat messages are associated with your Discord User ID and your internal Koda identifier. This data is used to maintain message attribution, detect abuse, and enforce moderation rules.

 

2.3 Attachments. If attachments are sent through Global Chat, they may be stored or proxied through Koda’s infrastructure, including but not limited to f.meetkoda.xyz, for the purpose of distribution across participating servers.

 

2.4 Retention. Message logs and related metadata may be retained for as long as necessary to ensure the security, stability, and lawful operation of Global Chat. Inactive or expired data is subject to deletion in accordance with our Privacy Policy and retention policies.

 

3.1 Lawful Use. You agree not to use Global Chat to transmit any unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.

 

3.2 Compliance with Discord Rules. All messages sent via Global Chat must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

 

3.3 Respect for Other Communities. Because Global Chat connects multiple servers, you agree to respect the rules and cultures of participating communities. You acknowledge that content deemed acceptable in one server may not be acceptable in another, and you are responsible for exercising restraint and judgment.

 

3.4 Ownership of Content. You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to transmit any content you post in Global Chat, including attachments, and that such transmissions do not infringe the rights of any third party.

 

4.1 Opt-In Participation. Global Chat is an opt-in feature. By enabling Global Chat, server administrators authorize Koda to relay content from their server to others.

 

4.2 Moderation Duties. Server administrators remain responsible for moderating their own communities. While Koda provides automated moderation and abuse detection tools, administrators must enforce their own rules and act against users who violate these Supplemental Terms or Discord policies.

 

4.3 Removal of Access. Server administrators may disable Global Chat at any time. Removal does not automatically delete previously relayed messages from other servers.

 

5.1 Automated and Manual Monitoring. Koda may implement automated systems and, where necessary, manual review to detect spam, abuse, harassment, or other prohibited conduct within Global Chat.

 

5.2 Sanctions. We reserve the right to take corrective action against users or servers who violate these Supplemental Terms, including but not limited to message deletion, warnings, suspension of access, permanent bans from Global Chat, or termination of Koda access.

 

5.3 No Obligation to Monitor. While we reserve the right to monitor and moderate Global Chat, we are under no obligation to do so. Users should not rely on Koda to detect or prevent all prohibited content.

 

6.1 Shared Responsibility. Because Global Chat connects multiple servers and involves third-party participants, we disclaim responsibility for the conduct, policies, or content of other servers or users.

 

6.2 No Warranty. GLOBAL CHAT IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

 

6.3 Limitation of Liability. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN GLOBAL CHAT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO CONTENT, OR EXPOSURE TO OFFENSIVE MATERIAL.

 

7.1 By Us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Global Chat, or the participation of any server, at our sole discretion for violations of these Supplemental Terms, Discord’s policies, or applicable law.

 

7.2 By You. You may discontinue participation in Global Chat at any time by disabling the feature within your server.

 

7.3 Survival. Any provisions relating to disclaimers, limitations of liability, and data handling shall survive termination of your access to Global Chat.

 

8.1 Governing Law. These Supplemental Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

 

8.2 Jurisdiction. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Supplemental Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wyoming.
